How I Became a Newborn & Baby Photographer

I'm the heart behind Emerald Rain Images, specializing in newborn photography, baby milestone sessions, and maternity portraits across Los Angeles County, including Pasadena, Monterey Park, Montebello, and the surrounding areas.

Before I ever picked up a camera to photograph people, I was in love with the art of capturing the world around me - sunsets, flowers, and the soft clouds that appear after it rains. I used to dream about selling fine art prints on Etsy, filling homes with peaceful landscapes and golden light.

But everything shifted when my sister became pregnant with her first child. I offered to do her maternity and newborn photos, and from the moment I looked through my lens at her beautiful baby bump, I knew I had found something deeply meaningful. Then, after photographing my newborn nephew, I felt a spark I had never felt before - I had finally found my calling.

That experience opened the door to my true passion: capturing life's most precious beginnings for other families. Since then, I've studied newborn safety, posing, lighting, and editing to give my clients the warm, heartfelt images I now proudly create as a professional photographer.
